A couple of weeks ago, Shopbevel, sent me the most amazing rhinestone drop earrings.

I love how they are simple, yet make that necessary statement. Most rhinestone drop earrings

are heavy and can become quite a nuisance during a night out, but these would never

be described as such. They are just perfect. I'm already shopping the site for more

statement pieces to add to my collection.

I'm Still Here

1. I promise I am still here.

It's been a crazy week at work with meetings and yearly evaluations going on. 

Every afternoon when I shut down my computer and leave work, I have all 

intentions of going home and blogging after I finish at the gym, run a few errands,

make my lunch, and outfit plan for the next day. {Yes, I'm Type A}

 However, after all that is done I'm simply pooped 

{and watching The Bachelor wins over blogging}. 

So, after a few days off... I have caught up on my sleep and I'm getting back into the

swing of things. Thanks for hanging in there! Happy Hump Day!

Outfit :: Layers

I wore this a little while ago, but never got around to posting the pictures. The weather lately

has been so unpredictable. One day it's FRReezing and one day it looks like spring is truly 

around the corner. This is exactly how I've been dressing- layers, layers, layers.

This week has been a whirlwind. Short weeks are always that way. Seems like 

one day is rolling into another with errands, appointments, and driving Phipps to the

vet for check-ups once a week. {Side note: She is seeing an oncologist weekly, who placed her

 on some medications to help her. I could not be more thankful for the vets at GVS that make 

sure she still wags her tail nub and jumps down from her cozy bed to greet me when 

I come home.} A former student of mine and her amazing mom sent Phipps the most

adorable care package this week from Le Bon Appetit. Phipps now has a new bed, squeaky toys, 

yummy goodies, and a 'livestrong similar' collar to wear- proceeds benefit cancer research 

for our four-legged buddies. I am extremely grateful for such wonderful people in 

my life who go out of their way to make me smile.

On another note, it's Thursday... which means tomorrow is Friday!!!

Another week down and a fun weekend ahead. Can. not. wait.

Did any of you take advantage of yesterday's President's Day sales?

Unlike a lot of teachers, I had to work. We had a day full of workshops.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Maybe today I'll forgive the rude lady that knowingly threw her candy wrapper

on the ground for someone else to pick up yesterday at Walgreens and I'll

decide to exude patience and love. Good 'ol St. Valentine would approve if I did!

I'll be spending my day calming the excitement of 23 first graders who have been stuffing

decorated Valentine bags for the past week. Finally, the truth will come out on who's cute in the class!

Seeing the homemade love notes and store bought Superman, Hello Kitty, and Charlie Brown 

candy cards being passed around is enough to make me smile. It's like I never grew up!

I love when I scour through all of Olivia Palermo's picks on Piperlime.

This Pim + Larkin dress will be perfect when the weather warms up a bit and we transition into

spring. Although with all of the snowstorms across the country now, I'm sure simply staying

warm is a priority for most.

Laura @ Birds On A Wire has some amazing pieces that really add to any outfit- casual

or dressy. I styled the Bissonnet Necklace this week and found myself throwing it on

Little Surprises

My best friend just found out she's having a little GIRL! I could not be more excited for her...

{and a little scared for her husband... he's in trouble!} The baby arrives in July, so it's time

to find the perfect, snuggly pieces for the little pea. With my best friend as her momma and 

me as her Aunt Taylor, this little girl is definitely going to be the most spoiled little lady around!

Outfit Planning :: Silver + Gold

Like black + brown and navy + black, I am a big fan of mixing colors that used to be isolated from each other. Silver + gold is another one of those combos that I've been drawn to lately. I started with my wrists mixing my gold and silver bracelets, now it's making it's way to other places. With J.Crew's new spring collection, I find myself mixing the two with clothing. I went in to the store this weekend to return this watch {bummer the face was a bit too small for B and it's not as depicted in the picture} and I spotted these pants, a brocade print with hints of sea foam, gold and cream. I had to get out quick before making an impulse buy. After all, I have a 'humongo' vet bill to settle with little Phipps. So, here I am outfit dreaming planning to see if making the investment would be completely worth it in the long run. Leave it to me to walk in for 5 minutes and fall in love with one of the Collection pieces and not something on sale.

Outfit :: Pops of Color

What a great weekend! Got a few errands done, organized the loft, 

spent an evening out with friends, and actually baked a few things. {Shocker} 

I'm definitely ready to start this week off on the right foot. 

I wore my new Stella and Dot Seychelles Chandelier earrings twice this weekend. 

I can already tell that I am really going to enjoy having them.  Funny how you 

hesitate to buy something and it ends up being one of your favorite pieces!
